Meghan Markle’s uplifting advice for singles on Valentine’s Day revealed

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in May, but back when she was single in 2015, Meghan shared uplifting advice for ‘singles’ on Valentine’s day.

In a blog post for her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tigerfuture royal wrote: “I think you have to be your own Valentine. I think you have to cook that beautiful dinner even when it’s just you, wear your favorite outfit, buy yourself flowers, and celebrate the self-love that often gets confused when we focus on what we don’t have.”

the old Combinations The star revealed her plans for the most romantic day of the year at the time, saying she would be out with her friends ‘running wild through the streets of New York’, drinking pink cocktails and cruising in the icy streets with his new shoes.

Meghan added of her accessories: “These shoes, by the way, were my gift to myself. Because I worked hard, because I’m not going to wait for someone to buy me the things I covets (I don’t either), and because I want to treat myself as well as I treat those who are dear to me. Because I’m my own funny Valentine.”

She ended her article by writing about the importance of self-love: “Whether you have someone special, are out with friends, or are flying solo this Saturday (or any other day for that matter), be kind to yourself. Love yourself, treat yourself, honor yourself and celebrate yourself. Be your own beautiful, darling, darling and funny Valentine. You deserve it.” How nice!

Harry and Meghan will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in May

Meghan and Prince Harry usually spend Valentine’s Day in private, although last year was particularly special for the couple as they announced they were expecting their second child.

The announcement was accompanied by a stunning black and white photo of the couple, taken by photographer and friend Misan Harriman, showing Meghan with her head in Harry’s lap as she cradled her baby bump.

The news echoed princess dianathe announcement of her pregnancy with Prince Harry on Valentine’s Day in 1984.

Harry and Meghan’s daughter Lilibet arrived on June 4, 2021 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, with the Sussexes finally sharing the first picture of their baby girl in their Christmas card photo.
