City Council President to Organize Supply Campaign to Benefit Survivors of Domestic Violence | WIVT
BINGHAMTON, NY – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
City Council President Sophia Resciniti recognizes the month by holding a gift card and collecting supplies to benefit residents of the RISE Domestic Violence Shelter.
The drive will take place this Saturday at the leisure park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
âOctober is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this procurement campaign is an opportunity to help victims of domestic violence in our community and bring to light an issue too often overlooked,â said the counselor. municipal Resciniti. âWe all have a role to play in ending domestic violence. Donations will help ensure that those who find themselves in the RISE shelter have what they need during their stay, âsaid Resciniti.

Gift cards for Target or Walmart, shampoo, shower gel, shaving cream, lotion, baby diapers, wipes, baby cleanser, crib sheets, twin sheet sets, curtains, cleaning products, towels, baby clothes washing, women’s and children’s underwear, sweaters, leggings, women’s jeans sizes 0-6, girls’ jeans sizes 2T-8, sneakers and boots, appointment books, self-help or care books, newspapers, adult coloring books and crayons / crayons / colored markers, non-perishable food items.
