Cardi B and Offset Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Matching Wedding Date Tattoos

For a new episode of his Facebook Watch show, Cardi tries, posted online on Friday, rapper Cardi B had the chance to try the tattoo for the first time. Her husband Offset was willing to let her experiment on him and all in the name of love. She shared a little promo for the story on Instagram.

“Hey guys, I’m going to do something crazy for Valentine’s Day for my hubby,” she explained in a clip. “I’m going to get him a tattoo, you know, I want to do something really special, so be sure to watch this episode where Set and I get tattooed.”

In the episode, Cardi surprises Offset by telling him that she wants them to get matching ink when they walk into the tattoo parlor. The second surprise was that she would be the one holding the needle.

“You’re supposed to trust me – I’m your wife!” Cardi insists.

Offset jokingly replies, “I trust you, but baby, you can’t draw.”

The artist guiding Cardi B through the experience is actually Offset’s main tattoo artist, Nico Hurtado. She also does some training on synthetic skin, before finally being allowed to use her new skills on her husband. At the end, she wrote their wedding date on her hand: 9/20/17.

Cardi was pleased with the results, announcing, “I actually did pretty well! What can’t I do? I could do anything. Like, I could focus on something and I can actually do it!

But fair is fair, and Offset then tattooed his wife, using the same date for her hand, of course. It was the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for a very brave and daring couple with a talent for everything.
