Steven & Alina: apology tour… and engagement ?!
So we always do this dance on social media where Steven has a lot of friends (who he’s been intimate with before) and Alina wonders if she’s okay with her boyfriend flirting with other women online. .
Finally, Steven deletes his social media accounts to prove to Alina that she can trust him. He also buys her a bouquet: “Hey baby, you are the most beautiful flower,” he says before buying an ice cream. “I’m sorry for sending affectionate texts.” Alina calls her behavior “unacceptable” and Steven promises to never text another woman again… or anything like that. And, to cap off their romantic evening, Steven continues to pressure Alina to convert to Mormonism. This is his gift of apology!
Later, Steven sets up a lavish boat proposal (!) For Alina. He’s hired a piano to set up on the upper deck of the boat to sing an original song, and he calls his potential engagement a defining moment for himself.
And, Alina says yes! “It was really unexpected,” she said through tears. “His proposal was incredible. Now I see his real personality. I see how romantic he is and how serious he is about getting married. This is what I have been hoping for for so long.
Armando & Kenneth: Wedding Planning
Kenneth has only one request for his marriage: to exchange his vows at sunset. With just a month to go until the big day, the couple still have plenty of details to confirm for their wedding to the vineyards. But, Kenneth’s only dream of his wedding is not a priority for Armando, and he prefers to have a reception longer than six hours. And in addition, Armando’s father asks that there are not too many PDAs at Armando own marriage.
“You can’t have a marriage for him,” Kenneth says. “I think you have to say, ‘It would mean the world to me if you came,’ and I hope he sees the celebration. But this is our marriage, this is our life. It’s just something. thing he will have to deal with.
Ariela & Biniyam: last hope
Baby Avi undergoes her operation, and a worried Ariela seeks Biniyam’s support. She suggests a romantic getaway to Kenya to rekindle their love, then find where to settle as Ethiopia is not for her. Worse yet, Biniyam has organized parties at his home when Ariela is away.
“What you were doing is so shameful,” Ariela told him. “Why should I trust you?” “
Then Ariela drops the bomb that she will not come back to Ethiopia at all. “After everything you’ve done, I’ll never go back,” she said. “Is it normal in your culture to sleep with other women when you are engaged?” “
Biniyam denies any sketchy behavior, but Ariela says even her sister said Biniyam is with other women. Ariela suggests that they move to Kenya, a “neutral territory”, to start over, otherwise she will be co-parent with Biniyam and they will go their separate ways. “Part of me still loves you,” Ariela said. “I’m trying to help you. I don’t want you to lose Avi… You’re not the same man I used to know.
Ellie & Victor: Breaking Point
Ellie spends her first night in Victor’s house after the storm. While the house is “good”, Victor’s attitude is not. “You’re not listening to how I feel,” Ellie told him. Victor defends his actions that he is not about the “trauma” of the emotional toll the hurricane took on him and his family.
“I know it’s not easy for Ellie to leave everything in her country,” said Victor in a confessional, “and she should understand that it’s not easy what I’m going through. [either]. “
They both agree that as a couple, they don’t work out. But where will they go from here?
Jenny & Sumit: Shock and admiration
Jenny becomes seriously ill, but of course Sumit’s mother finds Jenny at rest “disrespectful” because she has (unwanted) guests. “It’s all drama,” her mother says, accusing Jenny of “pretending” to be sick.
After Jenny recovers a bit, Sumit’s parents invite (demand) her to participate in a yoga class. Sumit’s mother was a yoga teacher and she encourages Jenny to stay fit and healthy so that she doesn’t get sick in the future. There’s also a disturbing sinus treatment that Jenny gags while watching Sumit’s parents do it, as they pull a straw into their nose and mouth simultaneously.
Corey & Evelin: slowly getting back together
After their marriage counseling session, Evelin asks Corey to meet. “For now, I mean, I want to trust you again, but it’s not going to happen like magic,” she told her husband. “It will be by example.” Corey will have to show him “100 times more” that he cares about him.
Corey explains that he wants to go back to live with Evelin; while being separated leaving him to “miss” her, he believes their marriage will only survive if they are under the same roof. Evelin suggests that Corey move into a separate room in his house and they can spend “movie nights” together to coexist.
“I can be even better than this guy she fell in love with,” Corey says. They kiss and even kiss!
Next week Kenneth’s family visit him, and even though Steven has made his request, he says their engagement will be ended if Alina doesn’t convert. Corey “re-proposes” to Evelin despite his hesitation and Sumit’s mother has an official date with Jenny. Additionally, Ariela and Avi see Biniyam for the first time in months. Will they stay together?
